WELCOME NOTE FROM HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Rainbow Schools’ official website! Our website serves as the central location for the school's streamlined communications, our academic programme, extracurricular activities, announcements, and events on the school calendar. It will also be a virtual portal for our vibrant educational community, and I hope you will find a range of information to meet your needs as part of the Rainbow family.

Our Mission and Educational Approach

At Rainbow Schools, we are committed to BUILDING THE BRIGHTEST FUTURE for our students, with our life-long goal to nurture students to become competitive global citizens. We believe education is about changing the lives of young people for the better through the impartation of knowledge and skills, ensuring that they thrive in and out of the classroom. Our aim is also to provide our students with limitless opportunities by nurturing excellence through self-discipline, collaboration, working smarter, and resilience.

Academic Programmes

We offer classes for learners from pre-school, primary, and high school. At the primary level, we offer Cambridge Checkpoint, while at high school, we pursue the University of Cambridge courses - the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and Advanced Level (AS/A-Level) certifications. These courses are an excellent choice for students desiring an internationally recognized qualification, with A-level courses guaranteeing entry into some of the best universities in the world.

Our Campuses

We have two campuses: the primary school and the high school. The primary school caters to learners aged three to five years in the pre-primary section and from six to twelve years in the primary school section, where students are exposed to a curriculum that develops their Mathematics, English, Science, Setswana literacy skills, along with a variety of social skills. The high school accommodates learners aged twelve to eighteen, offering a holistic curriculum that enhances students' academic, social, and physical potential. The philosophy of our school is "two campuses, one community," as the campuses share the same values, making it easy for students to transition from primary to high school.

Invitation to Prospective Students and Parents

To our prospective students, parents, and guardians, please feel free to log into our website and follow it up with a visit to our campuses where we will take you on a guided tour of our school. We hope, through the tour, you will appreciate what we have to offer and be motivated to choose Rainbow Schools as your education partner.

Warm regards,

High School

Our curriculum offer at secondary school lays heavy emphasis on Numeracy and Literacy skills which we believe forms the basis of all present and future learning. Therefore, Literature in English is a compulsory component of our First Language English offer and Additional Mathematics is offered to all numerically gifted learners.

Our junior high school curriculum aims to introduce the full spectrum of our IGCSE subjects, from Sciences, Humanities, Commercials to Creative and Performing Arts, in the first two years of high school. After this, learners are free to choose 5 subjects from the electives (+3 compulsories) for their full IGCSE course which begins in year three and ends in year five of high school.

However, an academic acceleration programme exists to allow learners who score 80% and above in all their 8 subjects at the end of year three, to fast tract and complete their IGCSE course in year 4 instead of year 5.

Additional
Information

Our school curriculum is periodically reviewed to ensure that it remains consistent with the strategic plan and mission of our school and educational standards...
