Rainbow School’s Standard 3 learners recently took their curiosity beyond the classroom walls during an exciting educational trip to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport — a day that perfectly reflected Rainbow’s commitment to offering a well-rounded and experiential education.

From take-offs to fire trucks, the young learners explored the fascinating world of aviation through hands-on experiences that brought their lessons to life. The carefully planned itinerary blended fun, learning, and discovery, ensuring that every moment was both engaging and meaningful.

Key Highlights of the Visit Included:

• Aircraft Observation: Students experienced the thrill of watching airplanes taxi, take off, and land — a vivid, real-world connection to what they’ve been learning in class.
• Airside Fire & Rescue Demonstration: A visit to the airport fire station offered a captivating look into airport safety operations. Learners were amazed by the specialized firefighting vehicles and the bravery of the rescue team.
• Control Tower Tour: The most memorable part of the day was ascending the 60-meter control tower. Here, students got a rare behind-the-scenes view of air traffic control and learned how coordination and communication keep the skies safe.

Throughout the trip, Rainbow’s young explorers demonstrated curiosity, confidence, and respect — eagerly asking questions and engaging with aviation professionals. Their enthusiasm was a clear sign of learning in action.
