Charity Club Reaches Out to SOS Children’s Village

At Rainbow School, learning goes beyond the classroom ,it’s about shaping compassionate, responsible, and proactive young leaders. Through the school’s newly developed Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme, our students are taking bold steps to make a real difference in the community.

This term, the Rainbow High School Charity Club delivered a heartfelt donation to SOS Children’s Village in Tlokweng, following a highly successful fundraising drive that featured an exciting Civvies Day and a crowd-pleasing Talent Show. The students collected and donated pre-loved clothes, sanitary pads, toiletries, and essential groceries to support children in need,a reflection of their empathy and initiative.

This outstanding initiative was driven entirely by the students themselves. From strategic planning and budgeting to coordination and final delivery, our learners took full ownership of every stage of the project, with teachers serving only as mentors. This hands-on experience provided them with invaluable real-world skills in leadership, financial management, collaboration, and creative problem-solving ,lessons that extend far beyond the classroom.
