Making Waves for Botswana: Lame Thomba Heads to Africa Aquatics Championships

The Africa Aquatics Zone IV Swimming Championships is an annual regional meet governed by Africa Aquatics, the continental swimming body formerly known as CANA. The event brings together top swimmers from Zone IV, which includes Southern and parts of Central Africa, all competing in both pool and open-water events.

Our Standard 6 student,Lame Thomba is heading to the XV Africa Aquatics Zone IV Championships and has earned a well-deserved spot among the region’s elite swimmers, set to compete in the pool events, representing Botswana on a major continental stage. This event will take place from 3rd to 7th September 2025 in Eswatini at the Enjabulweni Independent School Swimming Pool, Lugaganeni Manzini in Swaziland.

This is more than just a competition — it’s a celebration of talent, hard work, and discipline. As Lame steps onto the continental stage. Let’s rally together and show her the unwavering support of the Rainbow and Botswana family!
